Conor McGregor is back and ready to rumble. Yesterday, the UFC announced that McGregor would return from his ACL injury that he incurred last April to headline the UFC Dublin card on July 19 at The O2 against Cole Miller.
The two Featherweights have exchanged barbs over Twitter the last several months after Miller called McGregor out after defeating Andy Ogle in October.
With McGregor finally healthy and set to return, he sat down with UFC Tonight to discuss his upcoming bout with Miller:
McGregor stated in the interview that he is done talking about his knee and that Cole Miller is going to pay on July 19th.
In the best quote of the interview McGregor breaks down the fight:
He does not have a reach advantage. He’s slow, he’s scared, I’m fast, I’m fearless, it’s no contest.
With McGregor’s burgeoning popularity even while he was on the sidelines, expect major promotion from the UFC as well as himself. This man seems primed to become the next big star in the UFC, but all his talking will be moot once he steps inside that cage.
If Conor McGregor wants a top ten fight and a fast track to the title, he needs to beat Cole Miller decisively on July 19th.
