A lot of feathers were ruffled by The Oklahoman’s headline labeling Oklahoma City Thunder superstar forward Kevin Durant “Mr. Unreliable.” It ruffled his mother and brother’s feathers, that of fans and even garnered a response from The Oklahoman, where they apologized for it.
Durant himself doesn’t seem to bothered by it and even defended it.
Durant on The Oklahoman’s headline: “That’s what they’re supposed to write. I didn’t come through for the team.”

Durant didn’t help the Thunder get over the hump in game give and they sit down 3-2 in the series. Still it seems pretty ridiculous to call a guy who is averaging 28 points a game in 47.8 minutes per game “unreliable” even if he is shooting 40 percent in the series. If anything the Thunder might be too dependent on him.
