Manny Machado will start game 2 for Orioles

Seven months and two rained out games later, Manny Machado will step onto a Major League Baseball diamond.

The Orioles announced, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN, that the All-Star, Gold Glove, 21-year old third baseman will make his 2014 season debut in the second game of the double header against Pittsburgh.

Machado has been sidelined since the end of September after dislocating his knee trying to beat out an infield hit in Tampa Bay. He had surgery and has been on the road to recovery ever since. Machado is available off of the bench for game one of the back-to-back twin billing, but Baltimore and Buck Showalter would rather not use him two games in a row. Ryan Flaherty is starting at third base for the Orioles in game one.
