The biggest story in the NBA over the weekend surrounded Donald Sterling and the revelation of his heinous views on the world. While he’s technically out as owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, he still has ownership in the team and will be profiting off of the players he doesn’t want to be seen in public with.
A vote will be held by the owners to see if Sterling will remain as owner but until he’s removed, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Jarrett Jack wants all players in the league to boycott to make sure that the sale of the team actually happens.
It’ snot a bad plan, as it’s clear that the league needs something major to happen before it takes action, and it would cause the league to expedite the forced sale of the team and/or handle the lawsuit Sterling will file in a timely manner. A boycott won’t happen, but we could see individual statements made by players both before, during and after the official sale of the Clippers.
