The Montreal Canadiens – Boston Bruins rivalry will get a little extra playoff intensity added to it on Thursday night when the two teams face off in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference series in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Montreal may have a speed advantage, but as we have seen from the Bruins in the past their physicality is usually enough for them to impose their will and dictate the pace of the game.

“They’ve got some speedy forwards,” Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said, via ESPN.com. “Despite the common belief that speed kills, I think we’ve shown that we have some speed and we have some size and we have experience. So it will be a challenge, but, I think, we’ll overcome that challenge.”
