Oklahoma City paper takes shot at Thunder F Kevin Durant

The Oklahoma City Thunder are facing elimination on Thursday night, heading to Tennessee to play the Memphis Grizzlies down 3-2 in the series. Before the game, an Oklahoma City paper took a shot at superstar player Kevin Durant, labeling him Mr. Unreliable.

Despite averaging 28 points a game in the series, Durant was 10 of 24 shooting in Game 5 and went for a six-minute stretch without shooting in the fourth quarter. Thunder coach Scott Brooks defended his superstar and said Durant can show up and play big for the team.

The great ones just continue to focus on the next game,” Brooks said, via ESPN. “He’s a great one. He’s one of the greatest players in the world. He has to be able to continue to step up and take those shots, and he will. I have the utmost respect for his game.”
