Blue Jays’ Adam Lind expected to be activated next week

The Toronto Blue Jays could be activating first baseman/designated hitter Adam Lind from the 15-day disabled list sometime next week according to Shi Davidi on Twitter.

Lind was originally listed as day-to-day around April 16 after he was pulled from a game due to lower back tightness. He felt like it would be a miracle if he was healthy enough to go the very next day. Lind went through some drills a couple days later and appeared to be alright.

Just a few hours later, the 30 year old veteran was placed on the 15-day disabled list as Juan Francisco was called up from Triple-A Buffalo. So now that it appears Lind will be with the big league club by at least Wednesday the earliest, what does that mean for Juan Francisco?

Only time will tell.

Lind is prime trade bait for when we start the mini-fire sale in the next few months . . . Buehrle too if we pay half his salary . . . I don’t how how AA can position this bunch to be competitive for 2015, because 2014 is over and it’s May 4th
