Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw will rejoin team on Tuesday

The 2013 National League Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw will officially rejoin the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday as they take on the Washington Nationals according to Ken Gurnick on Twitter.

Kershaw was supposed to return to the Dodgers rotation on Monday, but his return was pushed to Tuesday. The left-handed starter picked up his final rehab start against Chicago Cubs affiliate Tennessee Smokies. The Smokies were able to get a couple solid hits off him as he surrendered two earned runs through five innings of work.

He was able to pick up nine strikeouts.

I’m sure Dodgers fans in attendance and watching across the country are anxiously waiting for Kershaw to return to the lineup.  Lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu was placed on the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder inflammation.

Kershaw’s return to the Dodgers will be coming at a perfect time.
