LeBron James high school years movie could be headed to theaters

LeBron James is arguably the biggest star in sports on the planet. Actually, you could make the case that James is not just the biggest sports star on the planet, but the biggest celebrity walking the earth.

Aside from his amazing basketball abilities, one of the reasons that James’ stardom has reached such heights is due to the fact that we’ve watched him grow since his high school days. We were first introduced to James when he was a sophomore at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School in Ohio, and he’s stayed with us ever since.

Now, according to a report from Deadline.com, for those that may have missed the high school days of the NBA MVP or just want to re-live them, there is a bidding war going on in Hollywood for the rights to a movie about James’ high school career.

A feature based on the high school years of Miami Heat star LeBron James is in play, and I’m hearing there are two offers on the table, with at least two more expected by tomorrow.

The movie would be produced by LeBron and his business partner Maverick Carter and would more than likely be one of the highest-grossing sports films in history given the hype that comes with just mentioning James’ name.
