The Johnny Football Kool-Aid is being passed around the cult circle and it’s unclear what exactly it has made it’s way around more than a few times now. It appears some are having second and third helpings, so much so that Manziel has gone from a borderline first-round pick to a definite top 5 pick to now better than Drew Brees in the punch-drunk eyes of one NFL Scout.

According to Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reporter Bob McGinn, scouts are high on Manziel now that his hype is peaking and one scout believes Johnny Football has more natural talent than New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl, Super Bowl winning, future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees.

So, by default, Johnny Manziel went from being a guy people would be reaching for in the first-round to the greatest thing that will ever happen to professional football in America.

This is why the draft is so wonky at times, as the stock of players fluctuates as a violent rate. There’s no saying how well Manziel will play in the NFL but he does have natural gifts that are undeniable. The only question is, will that translate to the NFL like it did for Drew Brees or like it did for Tim Tebow?
