NHL Playoffs: Blackhawks vs. Wild preview

The second round of the NHL playoffs got underway on Thursday night with a thrilling double-overtime contest between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens. On Friday, two more series get underway as the New York Rangers begin battle with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Chicago Blackhawks square off in a 2013 Western Conference Quarterfinals rematch against the Minnesota Wild.

Both the Blackhawks and Wild both enter the second round having comeback from 2-0 series deficits against St. Louis and Colorado, respectively. The Blackhawks were able to win four straight over the Blues whereas Minnesota had to go to the deciding Game 7, and even had to come back in that game, to advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2003.

Minnesota is out for revenge against the team that knocked them out in five games last year while Chicago is hoping to ride the momentum of the four-game winning streak in the first round back to the conference finals for the second straight year.
