Nintendo bringing no hardware to E3

Amidst rumors that Nintendo may be debuting new hardware at this years E3 conference, the gaming company made sure to shoot the misleading information down.

While the Wii U has been nothing short of a total flop (Estimated 6 million consoles sold worldwide), Nintendo is making sure to clear the air and announce that a new console is not on the way.  Should Nintendo have decided to roll out a new console, the company would have all but been admitting defeat by way of the Wii U.

Although a new console is not debuting in the near future, Nintendo is working on a “quality of life” product that could be unveiled by the end of the upcoming fiscal year (March 31, 2015).  This Wednesday, May 7, Nintendo will be releasing sales numbers on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, giving us a better idea of how the software is doing.
