Update on Padres' Chase Headley, Carlos Quentin

The fourth place San Diego Padres will be hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight to open up a three game series to kick off a 10 game home stand.

Now while the Padres continue on the young regular season, they’re patiently waiting for both Carlos Quentin and Chase Headley to return to the lineup.

According to Jeff Sanders on Twitter, Headley has already resumed full baseball related activities and is expected to return from the disabled list on May 10.

Carlos Quentin will begin a Minor League rehab assignment with the High-A Lake Elsinore Storm on Saturday according to Corey Brock on Twitter.

Brock also notes that Quentin will need at least three or four games before he’s able to return to the Major League roster. This is great news for both the Padres organization and their fans.
