Cubs' Brett Jackson activated from Triple-A Iowa disabled list

The Triple-A Iowa Cubs are off to a great start to open up the 2014 Minor League Baseball regular season. They’re currently 15-11, first place in the Pacific Coast League American Northern division. That’s really a mouthful when you actually say it.

Now Chicago Cubs outfielder Brett Jackson was just activated from the disabled list for the Iowa Cubs today according to Carrie Muskat. Which would mean he should be in tonight’s lineup against the Nashville Sounds. Jackson is only batting .121 this season through 33 at-bats.

He’s only recorded four hits this season, but one of them was a home run. Jackson needs to work on his plate discipline as he has struck out 17 times already. His last outing was against Memphis back on April 13 where he finished the game 0-4 with three strikeouts on the night.

Jackson’s only home run of the season came against Nashville which is a good thing. How about launching a couple more tonight in a possible return for your ball club?
