Milwaukee Brewers place Ryan Braun on 15-Day DL

The Milwaukee Brewers have gone ahead and done what we all expected them to do and have placed Ryan Braun on 15-day disabled list with a strained oblique muscle. It’s a temporary setback but it’s one hat Brewers fans were hoping to not have to deal with this early into Braun’s return to the team.

The official Twitter account of the Brewers broke the news early Saturday morning.

He’s not going to be out for the a full 15-days a he’s been retroactively placed on the DL but the brewers will still be without one of their best players for the next week and that’s never a good thing to deal with.

Still, the Brewers need Braun healthy and if that means missing a week in May and having him for a postseason chase in September then it’s a small price to pay.
