CM Punk hasn’t been on WWE television since the Royal Rumble back in January. On top of that, he’s still yet to use his official Twitter handle.
There’s still no word on if CM Punk will be returning to the WWE or not, but if he does, it could happen sometime before or after SummerSlam. Maybe the company is giving him time off while the remainder of his contract runs out and then give him a new deal.
The company is still selling his merchandise but has been pulling signs away from fans who attend live events. Now according to NoDQ.com, CM Punk recently attended a Chicago Blackhawks playoff game and participated in a contest called ‘Shoot the Puck’.
A couple of local Chicago celebrities/athletes have competed in this contest before, so it’s no surprise that Punk finally got his chance. NoDQ.com also notes that Punk was announced as a ‘WWE Superstar’ and his theme song ‘Cult of Personality’ played through-out the contest.
I’m sure Blackhawks representatives asked Punk if it was alright if they announced him as a WWE Superstar and used his theme song. If not, he would have been extremely upset and would have went by Phil Brooks.
