NFL Draft: Tre Mason's wrist injury is a 'chronic scaphoid fracture,' not hurting draft stock

One of the top running back prospects in the 2014 NFL Draft is Auburn Tigers’ Tre Mason reportedly needs surgery for a wrist injury after the draft. It shouldn’t prevent him from being ready for the preseason though.

On Sunday, NFL media insider Ian Rapoport reported that the injury is a “chronic scaphoid fracture.” Rapoport also reported that it isn’t expected to hurt his draft stock based on a quick survey of six different NFL teams.
