Pitcher Mark Mulder is out of his walking boot

Veteran starting pitcher Mark Mulder was hoping to make his way back into Major League Baseball with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Things looked somewhat promising until Mulder ruptured his Achilles tendon while doing drills with the rest of his teammates at the time. Shortly after rupturing his Achilles, the Los Angeles Angels decided to release him and move on. Right now it looks as if his come back is going to be either put on hold, or officially over.

Now according to MLBTradeRumors, The 36 year old veteran is not out of his walking boot and will continue to rehab his torn Achilles tendon.

This is great news for Mulder, but I’m not sure if someone is going to roll the dice with him this early on in the year. His opportunity to make a Major League comeback may not ever happen but he could have options overseas if he wants to continue his career.
