Andrew Shaw, Chicago Blackhawks forward, will be out for Game 3 against the Minnesota Wild with a lower body injury.
Coach Joel Quenneville announced this Monday, despite previously expecting him to be able to play in tonight’s game. There is hope he will be healthy and take part in the current trip to Minnesota and play Friday in Game 4:
“We still think he’ll be going the next part of this trip, could play Friday or next game,” Quenneville stated.
Shaw already missed Game 2. He has two goals and two assists throughout the post-season thus far.
The injury occurred during a hit from Minnesota Wild defenseman Clayton Stoner in the first period of Game 1. After being hit into the boards, Shaw struggled off the ice and hasn’t returned to play since.
