Twitter has become an avenue for fighters to speak their minds, call out other fighters, and hype up potential matchups. We have seen Conor McGregor, Tim Kennedy, Chael Sonnen, and many more use Twitter to boost their popularity and make fights that they desire.
This past weekend, Josh Thomson seemingly called out the retired Nick Diaz to a fight, only to rescind his comment and state that his phone was stolen.
If you recall, Thomson returned to the UFC last April by knocking out Nate Diaz in stunning fashion. He seemingly wanted a piece of Nick as well when he sent out this now deleted tweet:
I knocked out your brother, I’ll knock ur b—- a– out in San Jose July 26th.Let’s do it B—-, San Jose vs Stockon. Yup, F— U NICK DIAZ!
Thomson went on to say his phone was stolen and apologized for the call out. Nate Diaz did not buy it however, as he responded to Thomson on Twitter:

Nate Diaz has said that he wants a rematch with Thomson, and with more fuel added to the fire he may get his wish. Of course, that all depends if Diaz plans on ever returning to the Octagon.
