The Sacramento Kings have as many big decisions as anyone in the offseason.

Their big in-season acquisition, forward Rudy Gay can become an unrestricted free agent if he decides not to exercise his player option for the 2014-15 season. Most expect that he will opt out to get a longer contract like most of the other players with player options or early termination options.

Point guard Isaiah Thomas is a restricted free agent.

“Yeah. I mean I’ve never really had it, so I’m looking forward to it,” Thomas told Aaron Fischman of Cowbell Kingdom when asked about his free agency. “To just go into it with an open mind, do whatever’s best for myself and my family.”

Thomas expressed his desire to stay with the Kings.

“I would love to stay,” Thomas explained. “I don’t like change of scenery. I don’t like change, so I would love to stay. I’ve been here for three years, and it would be great to be here for a while. You never know what will happen.”

Thomas averaged 20.3 points, 6.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game last season.
