With the NFL Draft less than a week away, now is the time where a lot of the draft conversation shifts away from where players will be taken to where teams will trade to take the players that they covet in the class.
According to Peter King in his weekly MMQB column, the Philadelphia Eagles are still coveting a speedy wide receiver and are talking with as many as two team in the middle of the first-round about possibly trading up to take a top prospect.
King speculates that this prospect could be LSU receiver Odell Beckham as he’s been linked to the Eagles in the past and is an obvious fit for Chip Kelly’s offense. Still, the price of trading up from No. 22 could be steep depending on who they’re asking and it’s unclear just how serious the Eagles are about trading up.
Still, if they want a top receiver they may have to move up as projections that top receivers sliding may have just been wishful thinking.
