Over the weekend, the Oregon Ducks added their second offensive guard and fourth overall verbal commitment for the class of 2015 when they got a commitment from 3-star guard Shane Lemieux.
He joined 4-star running back Taj Griffin, 4-star guard Zach Okun and 3-star tight end Jacob Breeland.
“I’ve always thought Oregon was my favorite,” said Lemieux via Matt Prehm of 24/7 Sports. “ don’t want to say South Carolina pressured me or anything, but it all got blown out of hand about a possible commitment. I felt bad after all that happened, the first person I called wasn’t my Mom, but it was to Oregon to let them know what’s up and if I committed.
The 6’6, 285-pounder is from Yakima, Washington and attends West Valley High School. He is ranked as the 53rd-best offensive guard prospect in the country, the 10th-best overall prospect in the state of Washington and the 770th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Lemieux also had offers from the South Carolina Gamecocks, Arizona State Sun Devils and Arkansas Razorbacks, among others.
