Nate Diaz removed from UFC Fighter rankings

After the UFC removed T.J. Grant from their lightweight fighter rankings, they have made the choice to remove yet another top contender for the 155-pound strap. This time around, however, there is no injury or anything of note other than a contract dispute that could provide a reason for the move.

The fighter that is no longer in the top 15 at lightweight is none other than Stockton bad boy Nate Diaz.

Here is how the top 15 currently looks at 155-pounds with Diaz and Grant removed:

CHAMPION: Anthony Pettis

  1. Gilbert Melendez
  2. Benson Henderson
  3. Josh Thomson +1
  4. Khabib Nurmagomedov +1
  5. Donald Cerrone +2
  6. Rafael Dos Anjos +2
  7. Jim Miller +2
  8. Gray Maynard +2
  9. Myles Jury +2
  10. Michael Johnson +2
  11. Edson Barboza +2
  12. Bobby Green +2
  13. Rustam Khabilov +2
  14. Jorge Masvidal NR
  15. Joe Lauzon NR

The Diaz brothers have always been some of the most outspoken fighters in the fight game, so it will be interesting to see what Nate Diaz has to say when he catches word that he is no longer ranked in the top 15 in the UFC despite being one of the top talents on the UFC’s roster.
