As the NFL Draft draws closer, two days to be exact, it’s become crunch time for teams that may possibly want to trade up to grab a player they covet most to decide whether or not they want to pull the trigger. One of those teams, according to Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk, is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who may be looking to get out from their seven spot and trade with the Rams for the number two overall selection.

"There aren’t all that many juicy rumors flying as the draft approaches.  But here’s a good one. There’s chatter in league circles that the Buccaneers could end up being the team that moves up to No. 2 from No. 7."

So with that being said, now the question becomes who exactly are they targeting? That might have been answered by Florio as well when he pointed out that they could either be looking at the top wide receiver in the draft in Sammy Watkins, or they could make a huge splash with grabbing Johnny Manziel.

"After the trade of receiver Mike Williams and the age (31) of Vincent Jackson, the Bucs could use a receiver like Sammy Watkins.  But then there’s Johnny Manziel, who with a stout Lovie Smith defense would be fascinating in Tampa."

Throughout this longer draft process this year, there have been whispers regarding the Bucs being interested in both of these players. However if they were to trade up to number two, it would seem more likely that they would grab Watkins to help out new quarterback Josh McCown than it would to draft McCown’s potential replacement just yet.
