The San Antonio Spurs rolled up the Portland Trail Blazers in game one of their second round series in the Western Conference playoffs. There were signs early in this game that it was going to simply get away from Portland.
Tony Parker delivered this great finish in traffic in the early moments of this one, a play that proved to be an indication of things to come for Portland.
Parker ended up dominating throughout this one, with 27 points on the board at the beginning of the 4th quarter. As Gregg Popovich is prone to do, he had a chance to sit all of his veteran stars for most of the final 12 minutes to rest them up for future games in this series and what he hopes will be another long playoff run.
Here’s Matt Dollinger of SI.com with more on this first round series.
On this night, as on so many nights, Parker and company earned the right to put their feet up.
