UFC fighter rankings: TJ Grant dropped from lightweight rankings

The latest UFC fighter rankings have been released and there are a number of shake ups in the lightweight division. A quick look at the list shows that everyone outside of the top two contenders has jumped up a spot, and that is because former top contender T.J. Grant has been removed from the rankings altogether.

Grant has been out of action for nearly a year due to lingering symptoms from a concussion, and his inactivity has caused the media members involved in the rankings to pull him off of their top 15 lists.

Here are the current lightweight rankings:

CHAMP: Anthony Pettis

1     Gilbert Melendez
2     Benson Henderson
3     Josh Thomson +1
4     Khabib Nurmagomedov +1
5     Nate Diaz +1
6     Donald Cerrone  +1
7     Rafael dos Anjos +1
8     Jim Miller +1
9     Gray Maynard +1
10     Myles Jury +1
11     Michael Johnson +1
12     Edson Barboza +1
13     Bobby Green +1
