The film isn’t scheduled to be released until the end of next year; however, there is already some pretty big anticipation building up for the final chapter in The Hunger Games saga. Today, the good people over at Lionsgate announced that actress Eugenie Bondurant has joined the cast of the fourth and final installement in The Hunger Games film saga The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
Bondurant will play the role of Tigres. For those of you who have not yet read the books, Tigris is a woman who used to be a stylist in the Capitol, more specifically, for the Hunger Games. After undergoing a series of operations to make her look like more of a feline, she is shunned from the Capitol for being too strange. This is certainly a funny statement considering some of the fashions in the Capitol, but after seeing her face, I am sure you’ll know what they mean.
When Katniss and her team need help with their final mission, Tigris takes them in and hides them in her shop while the Capitol’s soldiers search feverishly for them.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 certainly boasts a lot of talent in their cast. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as the hero of the story, Miss Katniss Everdeen. The film also stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Sam Claflin, and Jena Malone all reprising their roles from the previous films.
Actress Julianne Moore will be joining the cast as President Alma Coin when The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 hits theaters later this year. Also joining the cast in Part 1 is Game of Thrones actresses Natalie Dormer and Gwendoline Christie, who will be playing Cressida and Commander Lyme respectively.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 21, 2014. It will be followed by The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 on November 20, 2015.
