LeBron James lands a role in next Judd Apatow movie

Miami Heat superstar is headed towards the big screen and has landed a role in the newest Judd Apatow film, Trainwreck. The movie is from Universal Studios, which previously acquired the rights to a movie based on James’ high school years.

From The Hollywood Reporter‘s RebeccaFord:

The Miami Heat player and Cliff Smith (better known as Method Man) have nabbed roles in Judd Apatow‘s upcoming comedy Trainwreck. They’ll star alongside Amy Schumer (who wrote the screenplay), Bill HaderBrie LarsonColin QuinnVanessa BayerTilda SwintonJohn Cena and Mike Birbiglia.

The real question is whether James would be playing an actual role or if he’d basically be playing himself in the movie. You know, like how Mike Tyson played himself in Hangover.

It is no Kazaam LeBron, but it is a start.
