Mariners recall Erasmo Ramirez

The Mariners have been riding a hot streak lately, and currently sit in second place to the Oakland Athletics. Both teams will play a double header on Wednesday and have the right to call up an additional man for their active rosters without needing to send another player out.

Seattle issued a press release on Wednesday morning saying that the club recalled starter Erasmo Ramirez from Triple-A to be the starter for the second game against Oakland. Ramirez had made five starts for the club before being sent down.

Over those five starts, Ramirez compiled a 1-3 record with a 6.75 ERA in just 24 innings. Chances are strong that he will be sent back to Triple-A following the two games.
