Matt Williams gets involved in police chase during radio interview (Audio)

Nationals manager Matt Williams was doing a regular old run-of-the-mill radio appearance Wednesday morning when something completely bizarre happened.

Williams was driving to the ball park in his Tahoe, talking to the radio show on the phone, when another vehicle rear ended him. Apparently this other vehicle was involved in a police chase at the time, and crushed the back of Williams’ car while attempting to flee.

Williams remained in his vehicle after the incident, describing the action to the radio hosts. The wacky morning hosts of course try to turn it into a comedy bit.

Williams seemed more amused than upset by the whole thing. He’s unflappable.

If it were me, there would be a lot more cursing going on. They would have to dump me from the air entirely to avoid a large FCC fine.

That dude in the other vehicle is lucky Matt Williams is no longer on steroids, or Williams might have jumped out of his car, chased the guy down on foot, ripped his door off, dragged him from the car and pummeled him.

Just kidding. Matt Williams never juiced.
