The Detroit Tigers have surged out to a strong start this season despite a somewhat slow start from Miguel Cabrera, at least by his usual lofty standards.
The team has enjoyed a bit of a hot streak lately, and with that has come some better production from the best hitter on the planet.
Cabrera sent his fourth home run of the season over the fence Wednesday night against the Houston Astros with one runner on base. It was a swing that few men in baseball are capable of.
Cabrera was batting .293/.339/.466 on the season entering the night’s action. With approximately 20% of the season in the books, it looks like Cabrera and the Tigers are gearing up to play the elite level of baseball most expected from them over the course of the summer.
