Almost everyone is wondering where Steve Kerr will take his coaching talents — however in experienced they may be — and which team will win the sweepstakes. Right now it’s down to two teams in the New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors and a decision on where Kerr will go is likely coming soon.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Kerr will chose which job he wants to take by Friday, which means all of the Steve Kerr drama will be over by the weekend — sort of.

While the Knicks appear to be the frontrunners for Kerr, the drama continues if he inks a deal there. From many believing he’ll just be a puppet coach that Phil Jackson will control to others who see the pressures of the job and will immediately put them on Kerr, it’s going to be a touch situation he’s walking into in New York.

If he gets hired by Golden State, which remains a possibility, then there will be even more of a media firestorm as he’d be burning the one landing place that seemed perfect for him.

Either way, it appears Kerr is almost ready to decide his future and his decision is likely coming before the weekend arrives.
