The Jacksonville Jaguars have toyed with the idea of drafting a quarterback in the first round of Thursday’s NFL Draft, but one signal caller who won’t be calling Jacksonville home is Teddy Bridgewater, at least not in the early first round.

While the Jaguars may have some remaining interest in the former Louisville product, it’s apparently not nearly as much as opposing teams, this according to ESPN’s Britt McHenry.

Citing analytics, the Jaguars seem to have diminished their interest in Bridgewater as they believe his small hands could be problematic towards his success in the NFL.

Jacksonville does own the No. 39 pick in addition to No. 3, but it’s not known if Bridgewater would even be available at that selection or if the Jaguars would be interested him at that point.

Granted, it could be a smokescreen from Jacksonville, but it doesn’t sound as if the Jaguars are overly enamored with Bridgewater in comparison to other teams, like the Cleveland Browns who’ve allegedly (depending on the report your read) locked on to the former Cardinal.
