Despite being down 2-1 in their series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the New York Rangers could be receiving a big momentum boost for Game 4 on Wednesday.
According to reports, Rangers forward Chris Kreider has been cleared to play after undergoing hand surgery on March 28. Kreider remains day-to-day, however, after head coach Alain Vigneault gave reporters a status update at the team’s morning skate in New York.
That being said, there is no definitive answer either way as to whether or not Kreider will play in a crucial Game 4. The Rangers have been shut out in back-to-back games, and could really use the offense that Kreider provides. The 23-year-old finished fifth on the team in goals this season with 17.
