Will they or won’t they?

That’s the question being asked by the masses in regards to the Dallas Cowboys plans to potentially draft former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.

What seemed like an inconceivable long shot just a few weeks ago quickly emerged as a viable situation in recent days, but according to ESPN’s Ed Werder, Cowboys officials believe they have convinced owner Jerry Jones not to draft the signal caller.

"I think the people who share the draft room with Jerry Jones believe they have him convinced not to take @JManziel2. We’ll see if he’s at 16"

Earlier today ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated he believed that Manziel could go any place between the No. 3 and No. 13 picks, so Manziel wouldn’t even be available come the Cowboys selection spot if that holds true to form.

Still, Werder’s report doesn’t seem as if the Cowboys officials are completely confident and we all know the impulse decisions Jones can make, especially regarding draft picks.

For now though, it appears as if Manziel playing in Big D seems rather unlikely. That is, unless Jerry has a change of heart.

Meanwhile, Manziel, a Texas native told Pro Football Live earlier today that he thinks it would be ‘really, really cool’ to be drafted by the Cowboys.
