The beginning of the end is about to start for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Next week, we will watch as everything we have been working towards the entire season will come to a boiling point in what Marvel has promised will be an astonishing Season Finale. Now, thanks to the people over at Entertainment Weekly, we now have a look at the final Art Poster for the season for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Everything that they have come to know has come crashing down around them. S.H.I.E.L.D. is no more, Ward has turned out to be nothing more than a plant put in place by HYDRA, and now – if you haven’t watched this week’s episode yet, avert your eyes – Fitz and Simmons are presumably on their way to the bottom of the ocean right now thanks to Ward. I wonder how Fitz feels about Ward being the victim now.
The poster shows a perfect melding between the S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA logos to signify the ongoing war between the two sides. You also see a very familiar looking shot of the team from the beginning of the season. The biggest difference is that now that he has been exposed to the world as a traitor, Ward is shadowed in the glowing red of the HYDRA organization.
Take a look for yourself. Here is a look at the latest Art Poster for the upcoming Season Finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the piece was created by Phantom City Creative, an independent art studio ran by Paige Reynolds and Justin Erickson. This is not the first time that the duo has partnered with Marvel. They have also made posters for the film The Avengers and Iron Man 3.
What do you think of the latest Art Poster for the series? What do you think is going to become of Agent Coulson and his team after the season finale? Furthermore, what will become of Fitz and Simmons? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
