The Baltimore Ravens had the No. 17 overall draft pick and it looked like they would focus on the defensive side of the ball. The Ravens took Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker C.J. Mosley.

It came just moments after Jon Gruden said on air that the Ravens should draft Mosley to replace the great Ray Lewis, who was also working the ESPN Draft broadcast with Gruden. Lewis suggested either Mosley or a safety to replace the departed Ed Reed.

Never the less it addresses a void in the Ravens defense and Lewis called it a great fit for general manager Ozzie Newsome, a fellow Alabama alum.
