A lot of people expected the New England Patriots to trade their draft pick and either move up or down, but instead they stayed at No. 29. With that pick they selected Florida Gators defensive lineman Dominique Easley and surprised some people.

It is a bit of a risk because Easley’s season was cut short when he ruptured his right ACL and medial meniscus in a non-contact practice drill. That is a pretty serious injury to recover from, but it happened earlier in the season and the Patriots will make sure he is recovered before putting him in right away.
