The Arizona Cardinals were on the clock with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and with Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater still on the board many believed they could consider going with a quarterback.

However, the team announced a trade with the New Orleans Saints, who jumped up from No. 27 overall to take the twentieth-overall pick. Arizona got the Saints third-round pick (No. 91 overall) and swapped first-rounders to make the trade.

Who were the Saints going to take?

They decided to select a wide receiver and went with Brandin Cooks of Oregon State, who can replace Darren Sproles as a speedy option the team can spread all over the field. Drew Brees had to be rejoicing with the team’s selection.
