It seems as if the Miami Dolphins will never have to stop babysitting Pro Bowl center and habitual hazer Mike Pouncey.

After using poor judgement in sending out a tweet about the Dolphins’ first round pick, offensive lineman Ja’Wuan James, where he alluded to the rookie buying gifts (a common hazing ritual) for the veterans, Pouncey once again found himself in hot water with the team.

Even a prankster like Warren Sapp found the tweet to be ill-advised.

According to ESPN.com, Pouncey not only deleted the tweet, but has now completely deactivated his Twitter account (or did the team’s PR department do it for him?).

Dolphins’ general manager Dennis Hickey spoke about the issue of the tweet.

“We talked with Mike, and Mike understands that sometimes things can be taken out of context,” he said. “What’s meant as a light-hearted comment can be taken out of context. We talked with Mike and he was good with that and understands social media is a great tool to reach our fans for the positive. But you have to make good choices with that.”

Pouncy is already under fire (and possibly under suspension from the league) for his part in the scandal involving the hazing and harassment of former teammate Jonathan Martin and others.
