In a move that some expected for quite some time now, former Virginia Cavaliers tight end Jake McGee has decided to transfer to the Florida Gators for his final year of eligibility.
I will be playing my 5th year at The University of Florida. GO Gators!

McGee left the UVA football team a few weeks ago after he just didn’t feel as if his talents were best utilized in the Cavaliers’ offensive scheme.
However, the Gators might be that perfect fit that he’s looking for, especially with the implementation of the new offense this season by offensive coordinator Kurt Roper who came over from Duke a few months ago.
McGee played 11 games in 2013 for Virginia, catching 43 balls for 395 yards and just two touchdowns. Those numbers are not an indication of his talent, though, because this 6-5, 235-pounder has a lot that he can bring to the table and that could shine through now in the SEC with Florida, who also returns experienced QB Jeff Driskel to get him the ball.
