Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Picked Up For Second Season

As the series prepares to air what has promised to be an astonishing Season Finale, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as the news they have been waiting for has finally come; Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been picked up for a second season.

As most of you are already aware, thing have been undergoing massive changes lately in the world of S.H.I.E.L.D., or should I say the world that was S.H.I.E.L.D. After the events that played out in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, everything that Agent Phil Coulson and his loyal team have known their entire careers has come crashing down around them and shattering into a million pieces.

The organization known as HYDRA has reared its ugly head once again, and it has come to light that they have infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. at even the highest ranks of operation. Even the people that they believed they could trust the most, like Agent Grant Ward, have turned out to be nothing more than a plant by HYDRA.

Scarily enough, there are still plenty of secrets to be revealed, and so many more questions that need to be answered. Where is Director Fury? Can HYDRA be stopped? More importantly, what is happening to Fitz and Simmons? One of the most important questions is so very far from being answered…who, or what, is Skye?

Thankfully, Marvel and ABC will have plenty more time to answer these questions, and probably give us quite a few more to ponder once the new Season gets started.

The season finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
