How much would you pay to attend a draft party “hosted” by Eagles wide receiver and noted country music fan Riley Cooper?
If you said, “More than zero dollars,” you gave the wrong answer.
If you said, “Forty dollars,” then you might have been at Nineteen 19 in Havertown, Pennsylvania Thursday night.
Forty dollars was what it cost to get in the door for Riley Cooper’s draft party. And I’m not even sure Cooper stayed there for the entire event.
According to the Nineteen 19 Facebook page, Cooper was scheduled to be on-hand from 7:00 to 8:00 pm to sign autographs (which is the minimum required to qualify as a “host” I believe).
The 40 dollar ticket price also bought patrons buffet food and domestic draft beer.
I’m sure a great time was had by all. Especially Riley Cooper, who definitely knows how to enjoy himself.
I personally would want a little more for my hard-earned forty bucks than an autograph, some crappy bar buffet food and a couple beers.
For that money, Riley’s got to get up on stage and do some karaoke. Or maybe wrestle with a midget who looks like DeSean Jackson.
I expect entertainment value. Chilling out watching the draft with a bunch of drunk buffet-crushing Eagles fans while Riley Cooper sits in a corner firing off autographs as fast as possible so he can bail out and hit the strip club?
Not exactly my definition of a great night.
