You guys all remember that brawl that took place between the National League Central division rivals’ Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates, right?
Well if you don’t, let me refresh your memory or bring you up to speed on this little situation that went down. Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez flipped his bat after driving a ball to the outfield and thought it was going to be caught. Well the ball wasn’t caught and it resulted in Gomez reaching third base safely.
Starting pitcher Gerrit Cole did not appreciate that at all, which resulted in a bench/bullpen clearing brawl between both teams. Carlos Gomez, Gerrit Cole, Russell Martin, Martin Maldonado and Travis Snider all threw down which resulted in some suspensions. Pirates outfielder Travis Snider got caught by a vicious punch by Maldonado that left a cut and bruise around his eye.
Now according to Travis Sawchik on Twitter, the suspensions of both Russell Martin and Travis Snider have been upheld by the league.
Travis Snider and Russell Martin suspensions have been upheld. Snider’s begins tonight

Sawchik notes that Snider’s suspension begins tonight, while Martin is still on the disabled list. So his will more than likely begin as soon as he’s activated.
