The Atlanta Braves will play game two of a three game home series against the Chicago Cubs later on this evening. They were able to pick up a walk-off single from first baseman Freddie Freeman to defeat the Cubs by the score of 3-2.
Now before tonight’s game against the North Siders from Chicago – the Braves have made a couple roster moves. According to the teams official Twitter handle, right-handed pitcher Jordan Walden has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. This move is retroactive to Cinco De Mayo.

With Walden heading to the disabled list (guy has been hit with the injury bug this season), Atlanta has called up left-hander Ian Thomas from Triple-A Gwinnett. Thomas will provide Atlanta with some depth in the bullpen.
The 27 year old southpaw has appeared in 10 games this season with the big league club and has posted a 4.26 ERA, 1.42 WHIP over six and one-third innings.
