Longtime Bellator veteran, Brian Rogers returned to the cage last night after a nine month hiatus and on a two fight losing streak. Determined to get back in the win column, Rogers unleashed a picture-esque flying knee knockout on his opponent Adrian Miles.

Luckily, our resident GIF artist Zombie Prophet, covered all of the action last night for our viewing pleasure. Check out the brutal knockout in the GIF below:

In 11 career victories, Rogers has three flying knee knockouts; two of which came inside the Bellator cage.

The most impressive part of the knockout may very well be Rogers’ awareness that Miles was completely unconscious after the knee and did not need any more punishment. Instead of reeling off another two or three punches to the defenseless Miles, Rogers walked away with his hands raised in victory.

Usually a beautiful flying knee KO like the one above would immediately be a contender for KO of the year, but this year is different. There have been numerous flying knee KO’s over the last several months throughout the world of MMA. Chris Beal, Andrey Koreshkov, Brian Rogers, Godofredo Pepey, and James McSweeney have all landed highlight reel flying knee knockouts this year.
