List of Miami Dolphins 2014 NFL Draft Picks

The Miami Dolphins needed help along the offensive line after the fiasco last season surrounding Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito. That is exactly what they addressed in the first round of this year’s draft, selecting Tennessee offensive tackle Ja’Wuan James.

In an effort to bolster their passing attack, and potentially replace Brian Hartline after the season, the Dolphins selected LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry in the second round. Hartline could be come a cap casualty after the 2014 season.

Here is a list of the Dolphins’ picks from ESPN:

1 19(19) J. James OT Tennessee
2 31(63) J. Landry WR LSU
3 3(67) B. Turner OT North Dakota State
4 25(125) W. Aikens DC Liberty
5 15(155) A. Lynch TE Georgia
5 31(171) J. Tripp OLB Montana
6 14(190) M. Hazel WR Coastal Carolina
7 19(234) T. Fede DE Marist

Why are you guys stirring up pooh about replacing Hartline?

Grade??? D-.. Just cause like this WR Landry.. Scrappy, Physical, Great Hands… Other then that ??? All reaches.. And what’s up with all these Small Schools?? Going against Small Scholl opponents, then jumping to the NFL is too overwhelming for these kids.

Pretty bad draft by new GM Hickey. The OT James definitely wasn’t rated as the 19th best player in this draft. Dolphins seemed to panic with their 1st pick due to all the top OL being taken. OT James may be a decent player but probably could have been the 2nd round pick even with their trade down. Then Hickey trades up & loses a pick to get another OT? You trade up to get an impact player that actually scores points or prevents your opposition from scoring, not an OL you could have had if you just stayed in your assigned draft slot in that round. Are you guys missing Jeff Ireland yet?
