The St. Louis rams made history today with the 249th pick when they selected Missouri defensive lineman Michael Sam and made him the first openly gay player in the NFL. It’s a monumental moment in American history and it’s a moment that won’t soon be forgotten by anyone.

Fans on Twitter came out in droves to celebrate the moment, and for once twitter wasn’t an awful place to be.
