As is the case every year, once the draft comes to an end, there are many players still looking for a home. Usually, those undrafted players quickly sign with a team and get ready to go to work. Often times it is better for a player to go undrafted instead of getting picked in the final round. Players can assess their situation and see if a team has a need at their position or has shown a lot of interest in them. In some cases, players simply choose to stay closer to home.

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed with former Texas Longhorns’ defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat and Florida State Seminoles’ defensive tackle Demonte McCallister.

The Seahawks were hit hard in free agency along their defensive line so both players will have a realistic chance to make the team.

Jeffcoat had 82 tackles with 19 coming for loss and 13 sacks last season while McAllister had 22 tackles with one for loss.
